The Twins

January 1963, a year after arriving in Australia, the twins were born. We were very poor and had no idea that we were expecting twins. We had bought only 1 outfit to bring the babies home in and Dad had to go and buy a second one after they were born.
Anneliese sent Mum this lovely twins outfit a year later and when she first appeared with them in the canteen everyone admired this beautiful outfit. Gerd is with them in the above photo.
