the old Mill

Here are a few photos that I took of the old mill where Mum's grandparents lived for many years. The picture on the bottom left hand side is the back of the house where they lived. Next to it you can see a waterfall and a bridge. Above the waterfall on the side of the house (not in view) was the kitchen window and Mum told me that it had to always stay shut because of the noise of the waterfall. Underneath was a cellar window and it is here that Mum's grandmother used to stand and fish treasures out of the river. One such treasure was an empty cigar box which Mum still has.
